A typical casement window incorporates
outward opening hinged windows of varying sizes and design
and usually incorporate a fixed pane. Outward opening
hinged windows should have a lock fitted on the window
frame opposite the hinges. For windows over 3ft high or
3ft wide, it is recommended that two window locks are
fitted, top and bottom of the window.
